How the Youngpreneur Spotlight Works
Four collections a year, each designed by a young creator age 24 and under. Here’s how a Youngpreneur Spotlight designer is chosen, and how you can be part of it.
Four times a year
A new Spotlight collection launches every quarter, each timed to arrive just ahead of the season’s big shopping moments. Every drop is designed by one young creator whose story we tell alongside it.
The journey
Apply
Anyone 24 and under can apply. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian applies with you. Come with your design ready to upload, plus the idea behind it.
We review
Every application is read with care, and we take our time so nothing gets rushed. We only move forward with designs that fit the Youngpreneur look, so every collection feels on-brand.
Five finalists
We announce five finalists, each with their own profile and story for the community to get to know.
The public vote
You decide. Round one opens to all five finalists for about three weeks with a weekly leaderboard; the top two advance to a one-week head-to-head final.
The winner
The winning designer is revealed a few weeks before the collection launches, kicking off the countdown to the drop.
Your collection
The winning design becomes a real Youngpreneur collection, produced, launched, and sold with the designer proudly credited.
The rewards
Your design, made real
Your collection is produced and sold in the Youngpreneur store with your name on it, you earn a share of the profit it makes. Plus a one-of-a-kind signature piece, personalized and designed just for you, and your own piece from the collection to keep.
A certificate & gift
All five finalists receive an official finalist certificate and a special branded gift. Being chosen is a moment worth celebrating.
The Spotlight V timeline
The two-round vote
All five finalists
Open voting with a weekly leaderboard so supporters can rally. The top two move on, and if there’s a tie for those two spots, everyone tied advances.
Top two, head-to-head
The two finalists with the most Round 1 votes go head-to-head. Votes start fresh, so it’s a clean one-week race. Whoever has the most votes when it closes becomes the Spotlight winner.
Every finalist is confirmed before voting opens, and voting is limited to one vote per person, so the result reflects genuine support. If the final round ends in a tie, a brief runoff vote decides the winner; and if that round is also tied, our founder makes the final decision. Applicants who are not selected are welcome to apply again in a future cycle, and past winners step aside so that new designers have their opportunity.
